Climate Action around the KQ
A round up of climate and sustainability events happening in and around the KQ area. These Knowledge Quarter events are the first in a new series of masterclasses, workshops and discussion panels, that we are calling Getting to Net Zero. The series is the backbone of our aspiration to become a net-zero carbon emissions innovation district by 2030.
KQ 2021 Conference: Programme Announced
Over three afternoons in July, the Knowledge Quarter’s 2021 conference “The Future of Knowledge: Building Back Together” will explore real-world strategies for creating a fairer, more inclusive society, after the coronavirus pandemic.
KQ Special Interest Group: Wellbeing
Our Wellbeing SIG meetings give professionals working across the Knowledge Quarter the chance to keep up-to-date with the latest research, as well as sharing tips and experience around the wellbeing of staff, visitors, student etc.
KQ Networks: Archiving Professionals
Our Network meet-ups give archiving and digitising professionals working across the Knowledge Quarter the chance to keep up-to-date with all that is happening in the area, as well as share tips and experience on best practices and new processes.
Start-up Ecosystem Research
Calling all start-ups and key players in the start-up ecosystem. We need your help to gain insight into what it's like to start a business in the Knowledge Quarter. Surveys, workshops and interviews are on the agenda.
Thought Fest 2019: call for content
Thought Fest 2019 is coming to Regent's Place! The festival will bring together organisations, institutions and communities from across the Knowledge Quarter, giving curious minds a chance to explore new ways of thinking. Submit your ideas for inclusion in the 10-day programme here.
KQ 2019 Conference: Programme Announced
The Knowledge Quarter’s 2019 conference “The Future of Knowledge: Think Better. Think Together.” will explore real-world strategies for democratising, decolonising, demystifying and disseminating knowledge.
Community Champions: Youth
Our second Community Champions event is on the theme of Youth, covering Early Years, Primary and Secondary education, family and youth programmes. We are looking for local charities and community groups based within the Knowledge Quarter area or those that are developing projects with communities based in the Knowledge Quarter, that wish to showcase their work connected to the theme of youth at this event.
