Alice in Wonderland Exhibition
To celebrate 150 years since the publication of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the British Library is launching a free exhibition which explores how Alice has captured our imaginations for so many years.
The British Library team has also created a fantastic pop-up shop. A whimsical space piled high with wondrous gifts inspired by the earliest drawings of Alice and her friends.
Being Human Festival Review
This year's Being Human festival, a national showcase of the very best in UK humanities research, surpassed all expectations with in excess of 17,000 people attending more than 300 events in some 30 towns and cities, according to figures released today. On the 8th of October 2015 the Knowledge Quarter launched the book ‘Cities, Museums and Soft Power’ at the British Library. The event proved to be very successful arousing strong interest among knowledge Quarter partners and other cultural organisations.
Shape the Future
Shape the Future is the collaborative project to develop the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals’ (CILIP) Strategic Plan for 2016-2020. The project consists of an open consultation that runs between the 25th September and the 16th December 2015.
