Job Title:	Chief Executive (maternity)

Poet in the City is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to direct the charity while their Chief Executive is on maternity leave.

You will be responsible for leading their national strategy to produce transformative poetry experiences connecting people and places, and developing the live poetry sector through trailblazing talent development. You will be a bit of a chameleon, equally comfortable devising ambitious artistic partnerships, fundraising across many income strands, astute at financial management of large budgets, and leading a brilliant and committed small team of producers and project managers.

Poet in the City is a producer challenging the boundaries of poetry as an art form and how it is experienced, so you will need to have a strong insight into cutting edge large-scale show production in major arts venues and everyday spaces, interdisciplinary working and best practice in co-creation and audience collaboration. Critically, to support this, you must be able to articulate and drive forward our artistic vision at a strategic, organisational level and meet ambitious fundraising targets.
