Physics and ballet meet in an event to explore the biomechanics of dance
An audience at the Royal Opera House (ROH) saw how knowledge of the biomechanics of dance can reduce the risk of injury to ballet dancers and help them to enhance their performance, in a special evening organised jointly by the ROH and the IOP.

A brand new community space for people living in Somers Town has opened within the Francis Crick Institute. The St Pancras and Somers Town Living Centre will help to improve health and wellbeing locally by offering a range of services that have been developed with Somers Town residents and which complement successful services already on offer in the area.
Noshin Sultan appointed Knowledge Quarter Operations and Content Coordinator
The KQ Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Noshin Sultan as the Knowledge Quarter Operations and Content Coordinator. Noshin joins the Knowledge Quarter from Creativeworks London (Queen Mary University of London) where she worked as Communications and Administration Officer.
Knowledge Quarter Cited in London Assembly Report
The Knowledge Quarter was cited in the London Assembly Regeneration Committee’s report ‘Creative tensions: Optimising the benefits of culture through regeneration', which makes a number of recommendations to the Mayor to protect London’s cultural and creative offer.
New Play about Young Carers previews in the Knowledge Quarter
'People Like Us' is the latest production for schools from Knowledge Quarter partner Theatre of Debate. It’s a powerful, fast-moving, humorous and timely contemporary drama. The play by Judith Johnson previewed at Knowledge Quarter partner Regent High School to coincide with Young Carers Awareness Day 2017
