The Wiener Library are hiring for a: Digital Asset Manager (FT permanent) and a Web Project Officer (FT fixed term 12 months). Both have a deadline of the 8 June.
Digital Asset Manager: The Library is looking for Digital Asset Manager who can be pro-actively implement new workflows and standard operating procedures while working in a team. The key focus of the role will be to take a lead in digital asset management, helping the organisation to make the most of its digital assets, its digitisation facilities and the skills of its staff and volunteers. The Digital Asset Manager’s work will therefore be a crucial part of a diverse range of team workflows including working to organise and access digital assets, cataloguing and digitisation workflows and outreach work including online resources and social media. The role will involve pursuing innovation and best practice in order to facilitate the completion of the Library’s transition to an exciting digital future. Find out more here.
Web Project Officer: The Library has recently taken over running of The Holocaust Explained website (theholocaustexplained.org), one of the most widely-visited online educational resources for teachers and students about the Holocaust in the world. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to help us to build on the site’s success and enhance the existing content. This will involve incorporating digitised archival materials from The Wiener Library collections, such as documents and photographs, onto the site.
The candidate must have excellent research skills and demonstrable knowledge of the Holocaust. They must be well-organised, driven to achieve the highest possible standards and show a high degree of initiative. As a key player in a small team, they must be prepared to show willingness to go beyond the terms of the job description. Find out more here.
